About The Orchard:
Whether you are looking for a single night stopover while touring the West Country, or a base for a longer holiday in North Devon, you will find The Orchard is the perfect place to stay.
Located in the heart of the village of Lee Bay, without doubt one of the most picturesque spots in Britain, The Orchard is a three guestroom Victorian House, carefully restored and modernised by Geoff and Ginny. In winter, you can relax in the warmth of a wood burning stove, in Summer, enjoy the quiet and cool of the extensive garden.
There are three guest bedrooms; one king size, one double 4 poster and one with twin which is generally used for children - sharing the bathroom with parents in the 4 poster room. All have wash basins, full hospitality trays, TV, Radio and hair dryers.
In addition to Bed and Breakfast, guests may also wish to enjoy the varied evening menu of full dinner or supper dishes. Ginny is happy to cater for vegetarians, vegans and those with special dietary requirements.
Lee Bay is the ideal base for a country holiday. Set in a narrow, steep sided valley with woodland on one side, open pasture on the other, and a secluded rocky bay at its end, the village offers the best of all rural worlds. Only a short drive away are some of the best sandy beaches in Britain - popular with sand castle builders and surfers alike.
Walkers will find Lee an ideal place for an overnight break from the South West Costal Path, Tarka Trail and the many other local trails. Those interested in shooting, fishing or golf breaks are also catered for and should contact Ginny for more information.
