Exmoor National Park

Exmoor National Park spreads mainly across West Somerset however 29% of it covers North Devon, the whole area is approximately 268 square miles in size, most of which is privately owned. Exmoor is ideal for nature lovers, photographers and ramblers who want to explore the area at their leisure.

The famous South West Coast Path covers 630 miles from Minehead on the edge of Exmoor to Poole in Dorset. Park Visitor Centres and the National Park Authority supply information about a range of activities available on Exmoor as part of an organised tour, activities include Land Rover Safaris, horseriding, guided walks and bike rentals.

The coastal villages including Porlock, Lynton & Lynmouth make up what is known as "Doone Country". Lynton & Lynmouth are connected by a 500ft cliff railway which is well worth a trip. Boat trips are available from Lynmouth harbour, giving you the opportunity to discover the area around Porlock Weir and Lynmouth lighthouse. Porlock's main attraction is the museum which shows traditional agricultural tools of Exmoor. The high street oozes charm with delightful properties, antique shops and cafes.
